C.L. BOWMAN DIES AT HOME HERE, FUNERAL TODAY
Claude L. Bowman, 39 years old, a resident of Niobrara county for the past eight years, died at his home in Lusk on Wednesday, July 27, of a complication of ailments, a stroke of apoplexy being the immediate cause of his death.
Mr. Bowman had been in failing health about two years, and every means known to medical science had been used to bring him back to health. he went to Rochester, Minn., where he consulted the Mayo brothers, and afterward consulted specialists in Missouri, who held out little hope for his ultimate recovery.
Funeral services will take place this (Thursday) afternoon, at 2 o'clock, from the Midwest Funeral Home. The Rev. Crowell of Keeline will conduct the church services, after which the services of the Masonic order will be held, in charge of Roosevelt Lodge No. 39, of Manville, of which the deceased was a member. The Masonic services will also be held at the grave, interment being made in the Lusk cemetery.
The pallbearers will be Roy Maguire, J.L. Locke, Frank Chambers, A. E. Johnston, P.P. Brown and J.P. Costlow.
Claude L. Bowman was born on March 20, 1888, in Custer county, Nebraska. he came to Wyoming in 1919 and took up a homestead 24 miles north of Lusk. He later worked in the oil fields of Lance Creek until his health failed about two years ago. Mr. Bowman was married in May, 1911, to Miss Louise Raymond. To this union one son was born, Lloyd E. Bowman, who with his wife survives him. Besides his wife and son, Mr. Bowman is survived by his mother, Mrs. Sarah E. Bowman; three brothers, Elmer D. of California, Jobie L. and Willis t., of Lusk.
Mr. Bowman had many friends in Lusk and vicinity, who will regret his untimely departure.
