Billy Edward Anderson, age 86, of Basin, Wyo. passed away Sat., March 7, 2015 at the Spirit Mountain Hospice House in Cody, Wyo.
Born Jan. 13, 1929 at Lusk. His parents were Albert Anderson and Reva (Sherman) Anderson. He grew up in Lusk and received his schooling there.
He married Joy Hopkins in Manville, Wyo. on Nov. 10, 1951. They moved to the Big Horn Basin on April 1, 1989.
He was a Town of Lusk employee for 40 years and was a member of the Wyo. National Guard for 9 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and doing "handy-man" work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
He is survived by his wife of Basin, Wyo.; his children, Tom Anderson of Basin, Wyo., Earl (Kim) Anderson of Helena, Mont., and Linda (Mike) Fitzwater of Lusk; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ralph Anderson of Littleton, Colo. and Terry Anderson of Osawatomie, Kan., Jean White of Parker, Kan.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thurs., March 12, 2015 at the Atwood Family Chapel from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
Graveside will be Fri., March 13, 2015 at the Mount View Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Kent Dempsey as officiant with burial to follow.
