Edward Dailey Dies in Spokane
Edward Dailey, pioneer rancher of this county, and a long-time resident of Lusk, died December 30 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Zelda McPherson, of Spokane, Wash.
Mr. and Mrs. Daley had just returned from a trip to Chicago, where they visited their daughter, Thelma and family, and also spent some time visiting relatives in Iowas. En route home they visited at the Ray Wilson home in Casper, Mr. Wilson being Mrs. Daley's brother.
It is understood that soon after returning to their home at Chewelah, Wash., Mr. Daley was stricken with pneumonia which resulted in his death at 5:30 a.m., Sunday morning, December 30, 1945. Funeral arrangements were not learned here.
He is survived by his wife and three daughters, his son Frank preceded him in death, being one of the first flu victims in Lusk during the 1918 flu epidemic.
Thomas O. Miller and William D. Miller of Lusk are nephews of the deceased, and Mrs. Virginia Thompson of Lance Creek is a niece.
It is more than 25 years since the Daley family moved from Lusk to Washington.
Note: The article above is entered here as printed. The spelling Daley was used, as this is the spelling used by the Lusk Cemetery for his son Frank, and in obituaries of family members.
