Hazel Grout Cooper
Hazel Grout Cooper, age 89, of Torrington passed away Tuesday, May 3 at the Community Hospital in Torrington, WY.
Mrs. Cooper was the daughter of Fred and Amanda Grout of Node. She attended school and later taught at the Node School.
She married Donald Cooper and they have resided in Torrington. She is survived by her husband Donald, two daughters, Ethel and Donna and niece Jean Thomas of Lusk.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 6 at 2:00 p.m. at the Coyler Funeral Home in Torrington.

Hazel M. Cooper
Services for Hazel M. Cooper, age 89, were held May 7, at the Colyer Funeral Home with Neal Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery. Mrs. Cooper died at Community Hospital on May 3.
She was born September 22, 1905, the daughter of Fredrick and Amanda (Whitenberg) Grout, at Broken Bow, Nebraska, where she grew up and received her schooling. She attended the University of Nebraska where she attained a teaching certificate. She taught a year in Nebraska and one in Wyoming. She married Donald Cooper in Lusk, Wyoming, on September 21, 1928, and they lived there for five years. They moved to Goshen County where they farmed, and in 1947 they moved to Torrington.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, one son, two brothers, one sister and one granddaughter.
She is survived by her husband Donald of Torrington; two daughters, Ethel Fritz of Torrington and Donna Hackenberger of Anchorage, Alaska; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Colyer Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
