Mother Of Sam Coen Passes Away In Lusk
Hanna Minerva Nesler-Coen passed away Wednesday morning, January 2nd, at the home of her son, Sam Coen of this city, at the age of seventy-nine years, three months and nineteen days. Service were conducted by Rev. Farrar, will be held at 9:30 Friday morning at the Peet Mortuary. The remains will be shipped to Long Pine, Neb., for interment.
Hanna Minerva Nesler was born on September 14th, 1855 in Posy County, Indiana. Fifty-eight years ago she was united in marriage with Richard Coen in the state of Indiana. To this union eleven children were born. Mr. Coen and five children preceded her in death; Mr. Coen passing on twenty-two years ago.
Mrs. Coen was a member of the Baptist church and a good and willing Christian worker all of her life.
She leaves to mourn her passing, six children, Sam Coen of Lusk, with whom she made her home for the past eight years, W. H. Coen of Nevada, Mo., Mrs. Lillian Miller of Dove Creek, Colo., Mrs. Iva Brinkerhoff of Dove Creek, Colo., Mrs. Nancy Quick of Long Pine, Neb., Mrs. Glen Williams of Gunnison, Colo., who came to be with her mother in her last days, and twenty-nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
