A. Thurstonson Dies Here Friday
Amund Thurstonson, 75, a resident of Niobrara County for 48 years, died at the Manring Convalescent Home Friday after a stroke. Mr. Thurstonson was injured seriously in a car accident near Cheyenne four years ago and had had numerous strokes since then. He had been hospitalized most of the time.
Funeral services were held at the Peet Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Frank Bozart in charge. A quartet composed of Dave Wood, Harry Lyon, Mrs. A. F. DeCastro and Miss Dolores DeCastro sang "In the Garden" and "Abide With Me," Mrs. J. P. Watson was organist. Pallbearers were nephews of Mr. Thurstonson, Richard Lenz, Hugo Lenz of Wheatland, Gene Lenz of Denver, Oscar Bostrom, Ralph Lingwood of Boulder, Colo. and Don Taylor of Aztec, N. Mex. Odd Fellow services were conferred and burial was in the Odd Fellows plot in the Lusk Cemetery.
Mr. Thurstonson was born in Norway, July 12, 1886. He came to the United States in the 1906 and located near Central City, Nebr. He came to Wyoming in 1913, homesteading eight miles northeast of Lusk. Since that time he had been engaged in ranch work, general labor and was janitor of the Lusk schools for several years. He had been a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge since he came to Wyoming.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. H. C. Lenz of Lusk and two in Norway; a brother, Carl Thurstonson of Silver Creek, Nebr.; and several nieces and nephews.

Mex.; Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Lenz and sons, Wheatland; Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Wilson and family, Laramie; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Thurstonson and family, Silver Creek, Neb.; Mrs. Anna Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Wasserburger, Crawford; Mrs. Minnie Cornett, Mrs. Rose Marie McManus, Torrington; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lenz, Jay Em.
