Lyle Anderson Dies of Heart Attack at Ranch Thurs.
Lyle Wayne Anderson, 45, died Thursday afternoon of a heart attack while working alone loading hay with a tractor some 300 yards from his home on the ranch in the Story community.
His body was discovered slumped over on the tractor about 4:15 by Jiggs and Merlin Mader who had gone to the ranch on business. They had gone first to the house and Mrs. Anderson told them where her husband was working. The tractor was apparently moving slowly toward the truck when the heart attack came. The engine evidently killed as the tractor pressed against the truck and no damage was done.
Sheriff Lew Sherrill was called as well as the ambulance with Bill Powell and Carl Nelson taking the body to Houston Funeral Home in Crawford. A number of neighbors responded immediately to help at the ranch.
Funeral services were held from the Methodist Memorial Church in Harrison Monday afternoon with Rev. V, Mearl Hainsey officiating. Interment was in the Crawford Cemetery.
