Funeral services for Elsie "Ruth" Graham, 87, were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, at the Wheatland Bible Church in Wheatland, with Reverend Delbert Dick of the American Missionary Fellowship officiating. Interment was at 3 p.m. at the Lusk Cemetery in Lusk.

She died peacefully Saturday, April 22, at her home in Wheatland surrounded by her family.

Ruth was born Sept. 10, 1918, in Sedan, New Mexico the daughter of Eva Catherine (Fulkerson) and Robert Samuel Stephenson. The family moved to Wanda, Mo. shortly after she was born and she was reared and educated there; graduating from high school in 1936. She married Horace Graham Feb. 7, 1942 in Yuma, Ariz. They began their married life in San Diego, Calif.; and moved to the Red Bird community north of Lusk in 1949 where the family ranched. In 1970, they move to Node; and retired in 1985 to Wheatland.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandra and husband Gary Whrel of Cheyenne, Pamela and husband, Paul Parmely of Manville, Gail Graham of Cheyenne, and Dixie and husband, Jeff Brewer of Wheatland; a sister, Roberta Stanley of Chandler, Texas; sisters-in-law Norma Stephenson of Bishop, Calif., Crystal Johnston of Chapel Hill, N.C. and Audrey Howes of Casper; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Horace, on April 21, 1999; five sisters, Bessie, Laura, Virginia, Faye and Velma; and a brother, William.

Memorials to the American Missionary Fellowship, P.O. Box 370, 672 Conestoga Road, Villanova, Pennsylvania 19085 or to the Node Sunday School, in care of Georgia Shoults, P.O. Box 346, Van Tassell, Wyo. 82242 would be appreciated by the family.

Gorman Funeral Homes-Platte Chapel of Wheatland was in charge of arrangements.
