Doc Hanson Is Killed in Shooting Accident
Floyd H. "Doc" Hanson, 59, a sometimes resident of Lusk, was killed in what evidently was an accidental shooting at Chadron Tuesday afternoon.
Mr. Hanson was evidently seated in the front seat of a car in the parking lot of the Ideal Supermarket when a .22 caliber rifle was somehow discharged by two men in the rear seat. The bullet struck him in the back of the head. The shooting was investigated by the Dawes County (Nebr.) coroner.
At The Herald's presstime funeral arrangements were not complete, but will be held in Newcastle Saturday afternoon.
Mr. Hanson is a brother of Mrs. Leslie ZumBrunnen of Lusk.
