Death Takes Mrs. George Giinther At Casper Mon.
Mrs. George Giinther (Lenora) Giinther, 75, of Casper, sister of Mrs. Olive Johnson of Lusk, died Monday afternoon at Natrona Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. Funeral services were held this Wednesday from the Bustard Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Arch Hewitt of St. Mark's Episcopal Church officiating. Interment was in the Highland Cemetery.
Born December 8, 1891 at Creighton, Nebr., to John Henry Roy and Julia M. Hubbard Roy, she moved with her parents as an infant to Oakfield, Wis., where she spent her early years. When she was in high school, her parents moved to Wyoming where they operated a ranch north of Lusk. She attended high school at Lusk and Cornell College at Mt. Vernon , Iowa, where she majored in music.
In 1915 she married George Giinther at St. George's Episcopal Church in Douglas. Following their marriage they lived in Lusk until moving to Casper in 1927.
She was a past regent of the Daughter's of the American Revolution in Casper, a Charter Member of the D.A.R. in Lusk and a Charter Member of the Lusk Chapter of the Eastern Star. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Casper.
Surviving are her widower, George, Casper; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Blunk, Woodland Hills, Calif.; and Margaret Giinther at the family home in Casper; two grandchildren; her sister, Mrs. Johnson of Lusk; and a brother Lloyd Roy, Elk Grove, Calif. A son Glenn died previously.
Attending the services from Lusk were Mrs. Johnson and her two daughters, Ruth Johnson and Grace Johnson, and her son, and family, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Johnson and son Robert.
